DANA POINT
The City Council recently approved a letter of support for the $120-million Dana Point Harbor revitalization plan. The Harbor Heritage Plan, proposed by harbor businesses, calls for the complete renovation of Mariners Village, Dana Village, Dana Wharf and the Dana Point Marine Hotel and will include construction of a three-story parking garage. The council is including concerns that the Puerto Place Boardwalk won’t be included in renovation and about the relocation of the harbor maintenance yard. The plan will be analyzed over the next few months to see if it meets county standards for harbor revitalization.
