Las Vegas: Hanky panky in the High Roller wheel? Not a good idea (unless you want to get busted)

Las Vegas always has the lure of the forbidden — even the High Roller observation wheel. Trysting in one of its pods may sound novel, but that frisky business is risky business.

Chloe Scordianos, 21, of Hicksville, N.Y., and Philip Panzica III, 27, of Houston, were arrested Feb. 5 as their 30-minute ride on one of the city’s biggest attractions came to an end.

Police arrested them on suspicion of committing sex acts in public, a felony.

The Associated Press reports that the two were alone in one of the attraction’s 28 pods when a High Roller security guard monitoring video from the cabin’s security camera spotted them undressing.

Through a speaker, the employee asked the amorous couple to restrain themselves. When the naughty behavior escalated, police were called.

Passengers in another cabin reportedly captured the X-rated show on their cellphones, proving that what happens in Vegas doesn’t necessarily stay in Vegas.

In court Tuesday, Scordianos’ lawyer, Chris Rasmussen, argued that his client believed the couple had an expectation of privacy aboard the attraction, located near the Strip.

A hearing is scheduled for March 9.

This isn’t the only time couples have decided to get intimate on a Ferris wheel.

In 2009, Australia’s Daily Telegraph shared the story of a similar romp aboard the Melbourne Star — with no legal consequences.

The same article noted that two 17-year-olds enjoyed a tryst aboard the London Eye a few months after it opened in 2000.
