Deputies Arrest Couple After Death of Daughter
A Lancaster couple was arrested Sunday in connection with the death of their 4-year-old daughter, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy said.
Hilaro Jerrard, 21, was arrested on suspicion of murder and Raven Gibbons, 23, was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, said Deputy Luis Castro. The father was being held without bail and the mother was jailed on $100,000 bail, he said.
Sheriff’s deputies were sent to a home in the 300 block of East Lingard Street about an hour after the girl was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 9 a.m., according to Deputy Alba Yates. She said deputies received the first call about the girl at 11 p.m. Saturday.
The deputies could not provide other details.
