Video Store Clerk Killed in Holdup
From a Times Staff Writer
A gunman shot and killed a video store clerk in Liemert Park on Friday night in an attempted robbery, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The shooting occurred at 7:40 p.m. in the 4300 block of South Western Avenue when three men entered the video store, Officer Don Cox said. One of the men shot the clerk before the trio fled.
The victim, who was not identified, died at a hospital.
Investigators are examining surveillance camera video in effort to identify the attackers.
