Man Sought in Oxnard Vehicle Fire
Oxnard police are looking for a man who set fire to a sport utility vehicle Tuesday morning in a parking lot on West Channel Islands Boulevard.
The red Chevrolet Blazer, which was reported stolen from the Los Angeles area, was totaled in the blaze. Witnesses said a man walked into a liquor store on the 100 block of West Channel Islands around 7:30 a.m. and asked for matches before pouring a flammable substance on the vehicle and igniting it.
He is described as about 30 years old, 5 feet 9 and 160 pounds, with black hair and a thin mustache.
