* Allegiant Air, a small commuter airline based in Fresno, will begin daily flights between Reno and Portland, Ore., on Friday to help offset American Airlines’ departure from that route. Allegiant officials said the company also plans to initiate a daily flight between Reno and Fresno and hopes to eventually expand service to Seattle and either Long Beach, San Diego or Las Vegas.
