Truck Overturns, Closing Interchange
An overturned tractor-trailer closed a portion of California 33 for more than four hours Wednesday.
The truck, hauling a load of compost, was on the transition bridge to the southbound Ventura Freeway about 12:40 p.m. when the driver lost control, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The unidentified driver, who was stuck in the truck for some time, received minor injuries.
The CHP closed the bridge until 5 p.m., causing traffic to back up. Drivers were diverted off the highway at Main Street. In the meantime, workers from the California Department of Transportation cleaned up the compost.
