LOS ALAMITOS
Residents in Old Town West have another week’s grace period to pick up temporary tags for permit-only parking. Police will attach warnings to automobiles until April 26 as a reminder. The city launched the new policy for the area of Catalina, Florista and Sausalito streets last Friday to halt overflow parking from Cottonwood Christian Center.
Police will process applications for the permanent stickers and guest passes from Thursday through May 14. By May 15, all residents must have their annual stickers. Residents must go to the Police Department at 3201 Katella Ave. with proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, utility bill or car registration. The permits are free.
The station will be open extended hours during this period: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays from April 24 through May 8 and 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesdays from April 21 through May 5. Normal business hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Information: (562) 431-2255, Ext. 402, or (562) 594-7232 after hours.
