HUNTINGTON BEACH
The City Council agreed recently to pay $796,100 to Sempra Energy Solutions for the first of a two-phase retrofit project on the Civic Center complex and an older portion of the Central Library. The city will then ask the California Energy Commission for reimbursement. The council also accepted the construction contract submitted by Hardy & Harper Inc. to fix potholes and cracks on Edwards Street, Edinger Avenue, Heil Avenue and McFadden Avenue at a cost not to exceed $200,000.
