7 People Arrested on Warrants During Police Sweep
Seven residents of Moorpark and Simi Valley were arrested early Wednesday during a multi-jurisdictional roundup of people wanted on warrants for alleged crimes and probation violations.
Officers from the Sheriff’s Department assigned to Moorpark, the sheriff’s Crime Suppression Unit, the Simi Valley Police Department, and state parole and county probation officers began the arrests at 7 a.m.
Simi Valley residents Damien Armstrong, 20, and James Low, 41, were arrested at their homes for alleged parole violations.
A male juvenile from Simi Valley was arrested on suspicion of several counts of gang-related vandalism.
Jaime Salgado, 25, of Moorpark, was arrested for allegedly brandishing a firearm earlier this year and for alleged perjury.
Moorpark deputies also arrested Anthony Perez, 23, and Lanise Ward, 22, on outstanding warrants.
A male juvenile from Moorpark was arrested for violating his probation after officers found the 17-year-old had marijuana, authorities said. He was cited and released to his parents.
