Teen Shot in the Chest After Argument With Man
LANCASTER — A 17-year-old youth was in fair condition Tuesday after he was shot in the chest outside an apartment complex on Beech Avenue on Monday night.
A 22-year-old Lancaster man was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting, but was released Tuesday after authorities determined that he acted in self-defense, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Larry Mead said.
The shooting followed an earlier confrontation between the pair, Mead said.
