A Cutting Comment
Susan Spano’s column on getting haircuts during trips out of the country (“Keeping a Traveler’s Haircut From Becoming a Tale of Shear Horror,” Oct. 4) reminds me of something that happened to me some years ago. The day before my husband and I were to leave for New Zealand and Australia, I had a permanent. It turned out to be a total disaster--all frizzy. When we got to Rotorua, New Zealand, I knew I had to do something about my hair.
A short time before leaving home, we had seen the musical “Sweeney Todd.” When I saw a hair shop named “Sweeney Todd’s” I knew that was the place for me. They gave me a very good short cut.
