A fire blazed through the kitchen and attic of a vacant house this week, causing an estimated $90,000 in damage. There were no injuries.
The fire was reported at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 8600 block of Stanford Avenue and took 29 firefighters from Garden Grove and the Orange County Fire Authority 30 minutes to extinguish, Capt. Bill Keen said.
The rental house was being refurbished. Nobody was evacuated or displaced from the two apartment buildings.
