Motorcyclists to Ride for Children’s Holiday
More than 400 people will ride their motorcycles today to benefit the Orangewood Children’s Home in the fifth annual Tom and Marcy Smith Memorial Orangewood toy ride.
The riders will begin at the Brea Mall at 9 a.m. and end at the Orangewood Children’s Home in Orange. Registration will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.
The ride will honor the memories of the Smiths, former volunteers at the home for abused and neglected children. The Smiths were killed in a 1994 motorcycling accident.
A fee of $4 per participant is requested along with a new, unwrapped toy, clothing or personal care item for the Orangewood children, who will receive them as gifts at Christmas.
