Woman Seriously Hurt in Car Crash
A 79-year-old Ventura woman was seriously injured Wednesday in a collision at Main and Peking streets, a city police officer said.
Mildred Richardson was in the intensive care unit with internal injuries at Ventura County Medical Center on Wednesday night after the 9 a.m. crash, Ventura Police Cpl. Tom Radwan said.
Richardson was at the wheel of her 1981 Chrysler Cordova when she pulled out from a parking lot into the path of Sydney Weekes, who was test driving a 1993 Honda Accord from Ventura Cars & Trucks, Radwan said.
Weekes was also taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was treated for neck pain and released.
