LOS ALAMITOS
City Council members unanimously agreed Tuesday to take legal action to try to halt the massive development on Seal Beach Boulevard proposed by the Bixby Ranch Co.
City Manager Robert Dominguez said Wednesday that the city is acting “somewhat in concert” with the Rossmoor Community Services District, the Rossmoor Homeowners Assn. and the Rossmoor Shopping Center. But the groups have yet to determine if they will file jointly or separately. Under state law, the parties must file by Dec. 23, 30 days after Seal Beach approved the project.
The groups said they are worried that the development, which includes a shopping center, a golf course and a residential community, will add too much traffic to their streets. City officials agreed to retain a law firm but the parameters of the suit haven’t been determined, Dominguez said.
