In Support of a Free Tibet
Tenzing Chonden is one of dozens who gathered alongside Coast Highway in Laguna Beach and exhorted passersby to support Tibet’s struggle for independence from China. Organizations such as Orange County Friends of Tibet planned demonstrations worldwide Wednesday to mark the 50th anniversary of the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Tibetans say China violates the declaration through its oppressive and violent rule.
