Seminar to Focus on Retail Real Estate
For those looking to get into the game of retail real estate, the 25th annual “Shopping Center Game” might offer some ideas.
The one-day seminar, presented by UCLA Extension’s Department of Business and Management, offers participants a review of current practical techniques in the industry and an opportunity to interact with developers and retailers.
Seminar speakers include Mayor Richard Riordan; Rick Caruso, president of Caruso Affiliated Holdings; and developer Sheldon Gordon, whose projects include the Beverly Center. Radio personality Warren Olney of KCRW will moderate the panels.
In addition, the Department of Business and Management will honor the seminar’s founder and longtime chairman, Steven L. Soboroff, who is senior advisor to Riordan and president of the Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Commission.
The daylong event will be held Dec. 15 at the Century Plaza Hotel, 2025 Avenue of the Stars in Century City. Admission is $175. For information, call (310) 206-1409 or e-mail [email protected].
