FOUNTAIN VALLEY
Councilman John Collins became mayor last week, and Councilman Guy Carrozzo is the new mayor pro tem, under a city ordinance that rotates the one-year positions among council members based on seniority.
The only new councilman, Larry Crandall, who won 60% of the vote in a special election to fill a vacant seat, was also sworn in last week. Collins is filling the spot left vacant when Councilman Jim Petrikin resigned about six months ago for health reasons.
