LAKE FOREST
The city has been selected to receive $90,928 in state and county grants to start a recycling program in city parks. About 20 beverage-container receptacles will be installed in 13 parks and will be maintained by the Orange County Conservation Corps.
Lake Forest is one of three cities in the county and 27 in the state to be selected for the program, designed to meet an 80% recycling rate for all California Redemption Value containers. The receptacles may be in parks as early as January.
