LAGUNA NIGUEL
The City Council recently approved $61,380 to build two baseball backstops and a batting cage at Bear Brand Park. The new backstops, which will replace clamshell-style backstops, are safer, taller and vertical, like those at Chapparosa Park. Construction should be complete by the end of January, in time for the start of Little League season. Information: (949) 362-4300.
