Red Wing Fan Takes Flyer Fan Downtown
Would someone please send Calvin Scott [Viewpoint, June 7] a map? He could use one, since anyone who has followed hockey over the last 60 years knows that the Red Wings, one of the six original teams (not an expansion team like yours, Cal) have always played in downtown Detroit, first at the grand old Olympia Stadium, home to the best ice in the league, and since 1980, at Joe Louis Arena, still downtown on the Detroit River, named in honor of one of the greatest fighters ever, not after some corporate deal.
