City May Run Ojai Housing Program
The Ventura City Council on Monday will consider contracting with Ojai’s Redevelopment Agency to run a program that aims to increase, improve and preserve housing for low- and moderate-income residents.
Funding for the program would come from Ojai’s Redevelopment Agency, and Ojai has agreed to pay a 20% administrative fee to cover Ventura staff costs. The administrative fees would fund Ventura rehabilitation projects.
Ventura has run its own housing preservation program for low- and moderate-income residents since 1975 and has contracted to run the county’s program since 1993.
