Gunman Holds Up Patrons, Restaurant
SAN CLEMENTE — A man with a sawed-off shotgun ordered customers at Ragamuffin’s Restaurant onto the floor Thursday and robbed them.
Just after 6 p.m., a bearded man wearing sunglasses walked into the restaurant in the 1500 block of N. El Camino Real. The man took money from the cash register and the customers, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Rex Hatch.
“He did his business and left,” said Al Curtis, a customer.
Witnesses told police the man fled in a white or tan 1980s Camaro, with no license plates and primer white doors. He was described as Latino, 28 to 30 years old, 175 pounds and wearing a knit cap.
