North Hills : Group Donates Vans to Medical Center

The Disabled American Veterans has donated two new shuttle vans to the Sepulveda Veterans Medical Center in North Hills to use for transporting disabled veterans to and from the facility.

The medical center’s shuttle fleet, now at four, serves an average of 200 to 300 veterans who sustained a disabling injury while on active duty.

The shuttle program was initiated in 1987, when budget constraints forced the medical center to eliminate vouchers disbursed to patients needing transportation to the hospital or clinic.
