Quayle to Accept Statesman Award
Former Vice President Dan Quayle will be the recipient of the Statesman of the Year Award during a celebration Thursday sponsored by American Family Living, an organization that has worked for 20 years to help strengthen families in Orange County. Quayle will speak about families and his book “Standing Firm.” The event will be in the Grand Ballroom at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.
Jene Wilson, president of American Family Living, said the organization’s directors felt that Quayle “stood firm in his convictions for our nation’s biblically based Judeo-Christian heritage and we want to honor him for this continuing commitment.”
There will be a silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner. Seating will be limited. Those interested in sponsoring a table or buying individual tickets at $125 should call American Family Living at (714) 637-7900.
