Malibu : Collecting Household Toxics
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and County Sanitation Districts will sponsor a free roundup of household hazardous wastes Sunday.
The one-day collection will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Malibu Civic Center parking lot at 23519 W. Civic Center Way, Malibu.
Residents can discard paint, car oil, antifreeze, pesticides, car batteries and other waste. Explosive or radioactive materials will not be accepted. Civic officials and specialists in hazardous waste management will be on hand to answer questions. For information, call (310) 908-4286.
