PLATFORM : A New Victim Class
The President-elect is pro-choice, but I prefer to call him what he is, pro-abortion. The “choice” means that an abortion will occur, or not, and to say you are for choice without identifying what the choice is, is intellectually dishonest.
Members of the pro-life movement were deeply saddened by the election because the litmus test for a Supreme Court justice will now be that the nominee is an abortion advocate. This means Roe vs. Wade will continue to be the law of the land.
The promulgation of Roe enables the argument of “choice” to stand and creates another victim class. Slaves were victimized by the same argument. Slave owners contended that slavery was a matter of choice and were threatened by the abolitionists who maintained that slavery should not be a choice. Anti-abortion advocates threaten the “right to choose” by arguing that abortion should not be a matter of choice.
