Glendale : City Shelves Parking Plan
Plans to build a two-story public parking structure in Montrose have been shelved by the Glendale City Council.
After hearing testimony from residents and store owners in the Honolulu Avenue area, where construction of the structure was proposed, all five council members voted Tuesday to end the effort.
“There is enough congestion in Montrose now,” Dorothy McCorkle, a La Crescenta resident told the council. “A parking structure could create a backlash . . . with more congestion.”
