President Bush’s Economic Plan
So President Bush plans to double the economy of the nation to $10 trillion by the early years of the new century? What a cruel joke!
One only has to do a little research to discover indisputable evidence that our economy does exceedingly better with a Democratic President in the White House. Starting with Franklin Delano Roosevelt right through the present Republican Administration, growth in the gross domestic product (GDP) has been twice as high under Democratic presidents than that under Republicans, without exception! Even the much maligned Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter performed more effectively from an economic standpoint than the Republicans who preceded or followed them in office.
The absolute uncontested record decline in GDP occurred under George Bush during the past 3 1/2 years! His more than $900-billion contribution to the national debt is over five times greater than that of the past four Democratic presidents combined!
It is utterly incomprehensible to me why anyone who is sincerely concerned with the nation’s economy would ever vote for a Republican Administration again!
