Police Seek Suspect in Fatal Stabbing
A Tujunga man was stabbed to death over the weekend by an attacker who remained at large Sunday, authorities said.
Mangas Meriwether 22, was discovered stabbed about 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the 9800 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sunland, police Lt. David E. Baca said. Meriwether was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Baca said police believe Meriwether’s assailant to be 23-year-old Richard Sheker, a man with no local address for whom police were still searching Sunday. Baca said details are sketchy and no motive has been determined in the attack.
