GORMAN : Advisory Issued for Tejon Pass Travel
Predicting a boost in traffic because of the Labor Day weekend, the California Highway Patrol has issued a reminder that a single lane of the southbound Golden State Freeway is closed for repairs at Tejon Pass near Gorman.
Motorists may use an alternate route by taking the Lebec Road off-ramp and continuing about four miles to Gorman, where they can re-enter the freeway, Caltrans spokeswoman Margie Tiritilli said.
Caltrans closed the lane in March when work began on a $1.2-million repair project, which is expected to be completed by mid-October, Tiritilli said.
