Gun Control and Violence
How can the editors of The Times, with any degree of honesty, continue to sing the praises of the Brady Bill?
As it now stands, the Brady Bill would impose a nationwide waiting period on handgun purchases roughly one-third as long as California’s. That should mean that Californians are three times less likely to be victims of criminal handgun violence.
The sad truth is that no degree of gun control legislation has or will deter violent criminals and vicious gang members from their bloody reign of terror. California’s already restrictive gun control laws are irrefutable evidence of that!
Only law-abiding citizens will be restricted by the Brady Bill; and it will be their innocent blood spilled as a result of those restrictions.
