Ross Perot
Ross Perot had it all wrong.
We worry too much about the federal deficit. To wipe out the Reagan-Bush-Quayle era accretion to the deficit only requires that each person in the United States contribute $8,000. Just once. Thus, day one, a traditional family with three children could simply cough up a paltry $40,000.
As Ross himself would say, no problem! George? Danforth? You were saying? (Bill? Al? You were listening?)
Pat Robertson, pass the collection plate.
