GRANADA HILLS : Hazardous Waste Collection Planned
City of Los Angeles residents will be able to bring their household chemicals to a free hazardous waste collection on Saturday in Granada Hills.
Sponsored by the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation and Unocal Corp., the collection is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Coast Federal Bank parking lot, 18000 Chatsworth St.
Items that will be accepted include household cleaners, automotive products, pesticides, herbicides, paint products and outdated medicine. Radioactive materials, compressed gas cylinders, infectious waste, explosives or ammunition will not be accepted.
The collection is open to Los Angeles residents only. Waste from businesses will not be accepted.
