KING CASE AFTERMATH: READERS RESPOND : Appalled by Verdicts, Riot
This resident of Thousand Oaks was appalled by the King verdict. And equally appalled by the violence that followed. I am also appalled by racism and prejudice--which someone once called “the unthinking acceptance of inherited misconceptions.”
I saw some of the frightful results of such misconceptions as a child in Europe, and one of the reasons I live in America is that I prefer a mixture of people, colors and creeds. So, if you are counting racists in Ventura County, count me out.
