Mother Teresa, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate recovering from pneumonia and a heart condition, has been getting out of bed and walking several times a day, her doctors said Tuesday. The Roman Catholic nun remained in fair condition in the intensive care unit at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, hospital officials said. Physicians Patricia Aubanel, Lawrence Kline and Paul Teirstein said that the 81-year-old reported that she was feeling better. The doctors said that they also saw continued improvement in her pneumonia and that her heart remained stable. She could be moved from intensive care by midweek, the doctors have said.
