Hearing Set on Sex Charges
A Rolling Hills Estates chiropractor faces a preliminary hearing next month on charges he sexually assaulted two patients while treating them for headaches.
Tychicus Yu, 32, last month pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in San Pedro Municipal Court to one count of penetration with a foreign object, two counts of assault with intent to commit a felony and one count of oral copulation. The preliminary hearing is set for May 9.
The charges are based on allegations by a 32-year-old woman who told prosecutors that Yu drugged her so he could assault her in his office, and a 16-year-old Wilmington girl, who said Yu assaulted her in her parents’ home after she had sought treatment for a headache.
Both patients have filed suit against Yu in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Yu’s attorney, John Carroll, did not return telephone calls seeking comment.
