City prosecutors filed criminal charges Thursday against the owners and manager of a 137-unit Hollywood apartment house, accusing them of maintaining slum-like conditions at the building.

Named in a 23-count complaint are the corporate owner of the building, Santa Rosa Marathon Corp.; its president, Norman Cohen, 54, of Beverly Hills; property manager Craig Hill Dennis, 42, of Studio City, and Geri Delia, 35, of Coarsegold, a corporate secretary.

They are charged with violating various fire, health and building and safety codes at the five-story brick apartment complex at 6500 Yucca St. City Atty. James K. Hahn alleged that the problems documented at the building during inspections include rodent and cockroach infestation, broken windows, missing smoke detectors, inoperable fire doors and fire escapes, deteriorated bathrooms and plumbing fixtures, litter and damage to the structure.
