VENTURA : Short Circuit Starts Mobile Home Fire
A mobile home fire caused about $55,000 damage in Ventura early Thursday, authorities said.
The fire started at 3:55 a.m. when an electrical short ignited some paper bags stored under the oven in a home in the Imperial Mobile Home Park on Hadley Drive, said Assistant Chief Ken Hess of the Ventura Fire Department.
The fire did $35,000 damage to the home and $20,000 to property in it, Hess said.
