OXNARD : Man Gets 4 Years for Bank Robbery
An Oxnard man has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison for robbing a Ventura bank, the FBI said Thursday.
Daniel Phillip Martinez, 26, was charged Nov. 21 with robbing the First Interstate Bank on East Main Street in Ventura and Channel Islands National Bank on South A Street in Oxnard. Both robberies occurred in September.
Martinez pleaded guilty to robbing the First Interstate Bank. The second charge was dismissed. Martinez was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Judge Spencer Letts to 43 months in federal prison.
