Local News in Brief : Buena Park : $1,700 Taken at Bank After Robber Pulls Gun
A Wells Fargo Bank branch in Buena Park was robbed Monday when a man who had waited in a bank line pulled a handgun out of a leather attache case and gave a note to the teller that said: “I’m holding you up. Don’t push any buttons, and give me all the big bills too.”
Buena Park Police Sgt. Terry Branum said the teller obliged, and the man ran away with $1,700 in cash from the bank in the 8700 block of Knott Avenue.
The suspect was described as a Latino man about 35 years old, 5 feet, 2 inches and 150 pounds. Branum said he had long, dark hair and was wearing a short-sleeve dress shirt with dark tie, dark dress pants and sunglasses.
