Local News in Brief : Countywide : Orange, Garden Grove Forums on Medicare
Two free forums on Medicare reform will be held today and Wednesday at senior centers in Orange and Garden Grove.
Sponsored by the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program and funded by the California Department of Aging, the forums will deal specifically with the Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act of 1988, which--besides providing more protection in the event of castastrophic illness or injury--provides respite care and outpatient prescription drug coverage.
Today’s forum will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Orange Senior Citizens Community Center, 170 S. Olive St., Orange. To make reservations, call (714) 538-9633.
Wednesday’s forum will be from 12:15 to 1 p.m. at the Indian Senior Center, 12755 Brookhurst St., Garden Grove. For information and reservations, call Julie Schoen at (714) 639-4962.
