About 10,000 people, including San Francisco Mayor Art Agnos, marched with lighted candles down Market Street to mark the 10th anniversary of the slaying of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk by ex-Supervisor Dan White, who committed suicide after serving five years in prison for manslaughter. The 20-block march to City Hall from the city’s largely gay Castro Street neighborhood, which was Milk’s home, has been an annual event.
