Local News in Brief : Slain Man Identified as L.A. Gang Member
A man who was found shot to death beside a scenic mountain road north of Studio City has been identified as Angel Roman, 18, a gang member from Los Angeles, police said Sunday.
Los Angeles police found Roman at 9:50 p.m. Friday, on the shoulder of Mulholland Drive about half a mile east of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, said Lt. Ron Young. He had been shot in the head.
Young said police believe that Roman, who had been dead a short time, was shot in another location and dumped in the hills. Police records indicate Roman was a gang member, he said.
An investigation into the death continued Sunday.
