BBC Quips About Mickey, Quayle Watch

LONDON — The British Broadcasting Corp. poked fun at Vice President-elect Dan Quayle today.
Summing up a report on the 60th birthday of Mickey Mouse, a BBC television newscaster quipped: “And contrary to rumors, I’m told it’s not true that Mickey Mouse wears a Dan Quayle watch.” Quayle has been the butt of jokes stemming from concern he lacks the experience to lead the United States should anything happen to President-elect George Bush.
