Electoral College
Every now and then a situation occurs in America which causes one to marvel anew at the uncanny foresight and wisdom of our Founding Fathers. A case in point--the much-maligned Electoral College which provides the mechanism for correcting President-elect George Bush’s gravest mistake by allowing the selection of Sen. Lloyd Bentsen (D-Tex.) as vice president on Dec. 19. Electors, please, make this courageous choice.
