SINGLE-FAMILY HOME PERMITS
Permits issued for new single-family homes took a dip in September from the previous month. However, the first nine months of 1988 were stronger than either of the previous two years. In particular, the unincorporated areas of the county, Yorba Linda and San Clemente registered big increases over the comparable nine-month period of last year. On the other end of the scale, Garden Grove, Irvine and Orange had the biggest losses. Here is how January-September (the most recent information available) this year compares to last, city by city, listed from largest increase to largest decrease:
