With 99% of the votes counted, Vice President George Bush received 56% or 731,521, and nine electoral votes, and Michael S. Dukakis had 44% or 580,549.

In congressional races, with 99% to 100% of the votes counted, four Democratic and three Republican incumbents all won.

The Democrats are, First District, Carroll Hubbard Jr.; Second District, William H. Natcher; Third District, Romano L. Mazzoli, and Seventh District, Carl C. Perkins.

The Republican winners are, Fourth District, Jim Bunning; Fifth District, unopposed Harold Rogers, and Sixth District, Larry J. Hopkins.
