Local News in Brief : Westminster : Seizure Suspected in Death of Motorist
A 66-year-old woman died Tuesday after her car suddenly swerved left, then right, and plunged into bushes and trees lining the San Diego Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim was identified as Rose Mary Svidergol of Long Beach.
Officer Leslie Ann Hill said there appeared to be no reason for the car to veer. “Officers suspect the possibility of a stroke or heart attack,” Hill said.
Svidergol sustained “multiple traumatic injuries” and died at the crash scene, Hill said.
Her car came to rest on its roof, but sustained only moderate damage, Hill said.
